What ages do you teach at Turning Point?
We offer classes for dancers as young as 2 years old and all the way up through adult dancers. Our programs are tailored by age and ability so every dancer is challenged in a safe, supportive way.
Where are you located?
We are located in Medford, Oregon, with a welcoming campus that includes multiple studios, parent viewing areas, and a large parking lot.
What styles of dance do you offer?
We offer Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip hop, Acro, Tap, and our signature Preschool Program program for young dancers.
Do you need previous experience to join?
No! We have beginner through advanced levels in every style. Placement is based on age and/or ability so every dancer finds the right fit.
Instructors & Teaching Philosophy
Who teaches at Turning Point?
Our faculty is made up of professional dancers, college-trained instructors, and nationally certified teachers. Many of our instructors have performed professionally with ballet companies, Broadway tours, and major productions across the U.S.
Are your instructors qualified?
Yes! Our instructors are not only highly trained but also background-checked, YPAD-certified (Youth Protection Advocates in Dance), and committed to ongoing professional development. They bring both technical excellence and a heart for teaching.

Do you have parking?
Yes! We offer a private, gated parking lot exclusively for Turning Point families.
Is drop-off and pick-up safe?
Absolutely. Our gated lot keeps traffic controlled, and we have clear, well-lit entry points so dancers can safely enter and exit the studio. Parents are welcome to walk dancers inside or use convenient drop-off areas.
Is the studio accessible?
Yes. Our building and parking lot are fully accessible for dancers and families who may need extra support.

Is the facility safe for dancers?
Yes! Our studios are designed with dancer health in mind. Sprung floors protect joints, mirrors ensure alignment, and our environment is always clean, organized, and monitored. We are also Acrobatic Arts certified, which means acro skills are taught safely with progressions.
Registration & Tuition
How do I register my child for classes?
You can register online through our parent portal, by phone, or by visiting the studio in person.
When does registration open?
Fall Term: Opens in July
Winter Term: Opens in October
Spring Term: Opens in February
We also offer summer camps and intensives with priority registration for current students.
How much do classes cost?
Tuition is based on class length and number of hours per week. We offer monthly payment options, multi-class discounts, and family discounts. You can find our pricing on our class schedules.
Is there a registration fee?
Yes, we charge a small annual registration fee to help cover administrative costs.
Class Details
What should my child wear to dance class?
We have a clear dress code for each style. Ballet shoes for ballet, Jazz shoes for Jazz, Tap shoes for Tap, etc. Leotards, tights, and dance-appropriate attire are required for ballet and acro. Full details are included on our “Class Descriptions” section of the website and in our Parent Handbook.
Can parents watch class?
Yes! We have parent viewing areas, and we also host Parent Watch Weeks throughout the year.
What if my child misses a class?
We offer makeup classes when available. Please let us know in advance if your dancer will be absent.
How are students placed in levels?
Placement is determined by age, ability, and teacher assessment. Acro and upper-level ballet require skill evaluations to ensure dancers are safely progressing.
Performances & Costumes
Do dancers perform in shows?
Yes! We host multiple performances each year:
Fall Showcase (November)
The Nutcracker (December)
Company Showcase (April)
Spring Production (May/June) – a full-scale themed show
Are costumes included in tuition?
Costumes are a separate fee. For our Fall Showcase, dancers typically rent costumes from our studio collection, which saves families money. For the Spring Production, dancers purchase costumes that become theirs to keep.
Safety & Values
Is Turning Point Dance Studios certified?
Yes! We are both Acrobatic Arts certified, Progressing Ballet Technique Certified, and YPAD (Youth Protection Advocates in Dance) certified, meaning safety, age-appropriate instruction, and dancer well-being are top priorities.
What makes Turning Point different from other studios?
