Accelerated Training Program – For the Dancer Ready to Commit
For dancers who are ready to take their training to the next level, our Accelerated Training Program offers focused instruction, faster progression, and a deeper dive into technique, artistry, and performance.
This track is designed for dancers who are committed to consistent training and eager to grow.
🩰 Recommended Weekly Commitment:
Level 2–3: 2 to 4 hours per week
Level 4 and up: 5+ hours per week
At this level of dedication, dancers will build and maintain technical skills with increased momentum, preparing them for more advanced opportunities and performance experiences.
📈 How Advancement Works:
Progression through levels is based on:
Instructor recommendation
Skill mastery
Consistent effort and placement, not age
Each class includes a range of ages, as dancers are grouped by ability and readiness rather than birth year. On average, dancers spend two years in each level, and all students in the accelerated program participate in annual skills testing to help track their progress and ensure proper placement.
Our faculty is committed to guiding each dancer with care and precision, helping them grow not just as technicians, but as artists and confident young humans.
Level 2-6 Acro at Turning Point Dance Studio
Strength • Flexibility • Control • Confidence
Our leveled acro program is for dancers who want to build strong acrobatic skills rooted in safe, technical progressions. Unlike gymnastics or tumbling, acro is designed to blend seamlessly with dance, emphasizing control, flexibility, and flow within choreography.
Dancers are placed by skill level, not age, to ensure safe and meaningful progression. Whether your child is working on bridges and cartwheels or aerials and handsprings, our certified instructors are committed to helping them thrive.
💡 What Makes Our Program Special:
Focused skill-building and individual support
Safe, level-based progression
Integrated strength and flexibility work
Performance opportunities throughout the year
📌 Required Technique Class Enrollment
To support proper form and prevent injury, all leveled acro students must be enrolled in a ballet, jazz, lyrical, or contemporary class at Turning Point.
While we love when dancers train at other studios, we must be able to track attendance and monitor technical progression to ensure they are safely developing the strength and control required for acro.
⏳ Progression & Placement
Advancement is based on consistent skill mastery, not age. Students are reassessed regularly, and most dancers spend about two years per level as they grow.
